Tardee is the foundation of our program.
This mare is now 20 years old and crippled. The first
time I saw her was when Homer Danielson brought her dam with her
at her side to breed to Impressivist on foal heat.
Bunny was the result of breeding a two year old mare and I
remember thinking that she was cute but very small.
As a yearling, she had a minor eye infection and by trying
to fix it, it became infected and they had to remove her eye.
I don’t think I ever would have afforded to own her if
this hadn’t happened. In her younger days, she had so much
muscle and the biggest hind leg. She
still has that strong back and thin neck.
Her produce includes two World Champions and the
cross I liked best with her was Ima Cool Skip.
She has 4 daughters by him, one of them is You Bet Im
Cool, who we still have. Miss
Cool Tardee is owned by Halvorson Ranch and is a World
Champion. CJ Miss
Cool Tardee is owned by my good friend, Carri Jones and is the
dam of her great upcoming stud, Carribean Kid.
Her last Cool Skip daughter is owned by my other good
friend, Donna Davis.
