In 2004 Mike and I decided to take a trip to the JMK Quarter Horse Dispersal Sale. It was really a chance to get away and for me to look at some great broodmares. Lanis Noble  decided to meet us there and we had a wonderful time looking at mares. Lanis was interested in buying a mare as we had just entered  our  Exceptionist Partnership. He wasn’t having any luck and Mike and I were planning to leave to drive back to Wisconsin when Karen Sartain showed up. Of course I had to stay and visit with her and then one thing led to another. Lanis told me that if we were going to promote Exceptionist ,  we needed to buy the best mare possible  to breed to him. In my opinion, that mare was Patty. She is sired by Obvious Prophet and out of a daughter of  Ima Cool Skip. Besides being gorgeous, she was also in foal to Kid Clu with frozen semen. I sat next to Lanis and he said why don’t we partner and buy the mare.  I never dreamed that I would  spend so much money on a mare and to be honest, I hated to tell Mike who was sitting in the truck ready to leave, that I had done it. He didn’t believe me at first but with Karen and Lanis telling him it had happened, I guess there was nothing he could do about it. Patty had the most gorgeous filly last year from the Kid Clu breeding. We named her Polly and if she wouldn’t have broken her leg, she would have paid for the mare. I am proud that Lanis and I own this mare and I look forward to many gorgeous babies out of her. Besides everything else, she is the sweetest mare you have ever been around.

Patty has been sold. Congratulations to Tom and Josephine Flory on the purchase of this outstanding mare.
